Overall numbers were the same as last year. Weather for the event was cloudy, warm, no rain.
The 2018 Father’s Day Skate Competition featured three divisions: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Each skateboarder in each division had three one-minute rounds to perform for the judges and the crowd.
The beginner division had two competitors, the intermediate division had four, and the advanced division had four.
Dakota Sandefur won the beginner division. Vaughn Gaertner was second.
Caden Arredondo took first place in the intermediate division. Dale Gaertner Jr. finished second. Xander Fisher was third.
In the advanced division, James Jones finished first. Nicholas Ciucci was second and Boyd Shoemaker took third.
Ciucci won the “raddest fall” award. Arredondo won the Garrold Vallie award for “most heart.”
This year, event organizers raffled off several T-shirts, stickers, and other prizes.
Top finishers in each division received trophies and new skateboard parts such as decks, trucks, and wheels.
