Grayling hospital is a gem
To the editor: Our very own small town of Grayling, along with Traverse City, is nationally recognized as one of the finest hospitals in all of our 50 states! U.S. News and World Report magazine rated nearly 5,000 hospitals, about 100 per state, and Munson received the highest ratings possible in nine common procedures or conditions. That is truly special, folks, and we should feel blessed.
I, normally healthy as a horse and never inside a hospital except to visit, collapsed in the emergency room and received six days of exceptional care.
In all, it was a heart-warming experience. I needed that, having watched this once great country degenerate to the “me” generation of selfishness, laziness, and lawsuits. My experience with these fine young people gives me hope that all is not lost.
All of my nurses were great. Kitchen, servers, and cleaners were especially pleasant and helpful. That doesn’t just happen in such large numbers by accident. That is genuine caring and reflects leadership from above, those I never even met, I am certain.
What a wonderful array of talent and compassion. Grayling should be proud. I know that my wife, Connie, and I are proud, very appreciative, and applaud all of you.
