Whitney Elaine (Keir) Davis, 31, of North Charleston, South Carolina, passed away July 31, 2020, after an unexpected accident in her home. She was born on December 4, 1988 to Kindra (Vanderpool) Grant and Matthew Keir in Grayling, Michigan, and graduated from Grayling High School in 2007.
Whitney worked at DIG in the Park in North Charleston, South Carolina as a server and bartender. She had briefly attended college in Grand Rapids, Michigan and had plans to enroll in the EMT Program at Trident Technical College in Charleston, South Carolina.
She married her husband, Chase E. Davis, in March 2018 in Charleston, South Carolina.
Whitney was a student athlete at Grayling High School playing both soccer and basketball for the Lady Vikings. She was a vibrant, free spirit that always made friends wherever she went. In her free time she could be found enjoying time traveling or with family and friends. Whitney was an animal lover and a longtime fan of the Detroit Lions.
She’s survived by her parents, Kindra (Rich) Grant, Matthew (Tracey) Keir, and her younger brothers, Dalton (Heather) Keir and Jacob Kaul. She was predeceased by her husband, Chase E. Davis (27); her younger brother Blake Keir (0); her cousins, Chelsea Sedlecek (15) and Nathan Haskel (33); and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 29, 2020 at the Hanson Hills Recreation Area at 1:00 p.m.
In leu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Grayling Animal Shelter in Whitney’s honor.
