Walter (Walt) Glen Roe, 89, of Alma, Michigan.
Born April 24, 1928, Saginaw, Michigan, and died December 16, 2017, Alma, Michigan, after a short illness.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor (Chinevere) Roe, of Alma, Mich.; his daughters, Dawn Dandy of Waters, Mich., and Roslyn Roe of Grand Ledge, Mich.; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bartley Roe and Helen (Wright) Roe of Saginaw, Mich.; a brother, Bartley Roe, of Reece, Mich.; and a daughter, Sharon (Roe) Rice, of Grayling, Mich.
A Memorial Service will be held on January 7, 2018, at 1:30 p.m. in the Doig Chapel at Masonic Pathways, 1200 Wright Ave., Alma, MI 48801.
He was a dedicated, hardworking man. He owned his own business, Roe Electric. He was the Electrical Inspector for many northern Michigan counties. He also volunteered his time for Habitat for Humanity.
In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and refereeing for many high schools in northern Michigan.
Walt was a life member of the Masonic Organization in Michigan. He was a past Worshipful Master of the Pellston Masonic Lodge No. 440 in Pellston, Michigan. He was a member of many Masonic Lodges in Michigan and held various positions within each Lodge.
