Mary Fedorka

Mary Agnes (Allen) Fedorka, 82, of Concord Michigan, passed away on August 13, 2022, following a short illness.  The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 11:00 am at St Catherine Laboure Catholic Church in Concord, Michigan with visitation beginning at 10:00 am.

Mary was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 5, 1940, to Edward and Frances Piwonski. Although an only child, she found great love in her “adopted” family, the Madacki’s. Their early example taught her that love and family was a gift given by God that was not bound by genetics.

Mary was married to Richard Allen on May 7, 1960, they were married for 40 years prior to his death in 2000. Together they raised four children, Michael, Richard Jr., Steven and Kathleen in Grayling Michigan.  Living in Grayling, she was an RN at Mercy Hospital, an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a School Board member for Crawford AuSable School District.  

Mary spent her life passionately.  She loved her family, her friends and never hesitated to show that love.  Whether she was spending cold Autumn evenings watching high school football, endless Saturdays at wrestling tournaments or evenings in the auditorium watching theatre productions, she supported her children selflessly and whole-heartedly.

It would be remiss not to mention the lifelong friendships she had.  They included her extended family, friends from childhood, nursing school, Grayling, Huron Valley and Concord.  She readily opened her heart to people and they responded in kind, blessing her with their love.

After Richard’s death in 2000, Mary found love again with her second husband, Edward Fedorka.  They were married for 19 years prior to her death.

Mary is survived by her husband, Edward; children, Michael Allen, Richard Allen, Steve (Andrea) Allen and Kathy (Craig) Stouffer; grandchildren, Sydney, Zander, Rachel, Jonathan, Hannah, Grace and Adam, as well as many other family and friends.
