Leslie Richard Goss, 88, of Grayling, passed away on February 14, 2018.
He was born in Fenton, Michigan, on June 22, 1929, to the late Oscar and Claribell (Lovely) Goss.
He graduated from Grayling High School in 1947.
Les married Marlene Yoder on March 18, 1986 in Gaylord.
He retired from Crawford AuSable School District as the District Engineer after 40 years employment.
Les enjoyed tinkering in his workshop. Les was a loving and caring father, grandfather, and a friend to many.
He is survived by his wife, Marlene, of 31 years; children: David (Deborah) Goss of Traverse City; Julie (Clifford) Bonamie of Florida; Mary (Ken) Murray of Traverse City; step-children: Beth Holzman of Charlotte and Mary Jo (Scott) Bickman of Frederic; grandchildren: Ryan Stahl, Michael (Amy) Goss, Nate Bonamie, Aimee (Gene Hoskins) Bonamie, Ambre (Ben) Richards, Lyndsay Whaley, Mandi (Todd) Ruddock, Lance Royston, Angela Bickman and Erica Mead; great- grandchildren: Hadley Richards, Damianne Piehl, Emily and Theodore Ruddock, and Cameron Mead; Great-great-grandchild: Owen Goldsberry; brother: Dean (Linda) Goss of Grayling and sister: Elaine Campbell of Grayling. Also survived by his beloved dog, "Tori".
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Gail Stahl; infant son, Dale Goss; step-daughter, Vickie Royston; brother, Jack Goss; and sister, Phyllis Armstrong.
Services were held at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home on Saturday, February 17, 2018. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery in the spring.
