Kay Ann Pegouskie, 72 of rural Harrison, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, February 5, 2017.
Kay was born November 13, 1944, in Grayling, Michigan, the daughter of Earl and Katherine (Gross) Isenhauer.
Kay was united in marriage to Mr. Marvin P. Pegouskie on April 28, 1979, in Mio, Michigan. Mr. Pegouskie preceded Kay in death on September 19, 1998.
Kay retired from Glen’s Markets of Grayling after 30 years of service. Kay was hired by Glen’s on June 12, 1961, as a butcher and retired as a Meat Department Manager.
Mrs. Pegouskie had resided in rural Harrison since 1998, coming from Mio. Kay was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Harrison. Mrs. Pegouskie enjoyed snowmobiling, motorcycling, riding quads, feeding her pet deer, bowling and preparing her famous pan fried chicken for her family and friends.
Surviving Mrs. Pegouskie are her loving sons: Timothy Pegouskie of Mio, Mark Pegouskie and wife Jessie of Harrison and Gary Pegouskie and wife Gay of Yelm, Washington; thirteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, many step-great grandchildren, three sisters: Vivette Davis of Gallatin, Tennessee, Louanna Pickell of Grayling, and Susan Rozenek also of Grayling; one brother, John Isenhauer of Grayling, plus many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Pegouskie also was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Gary Isenhauer and Karl Isenhauer.
Funeral Liturgy for Mrs. Pegouskie will be held in her honor on Friday, February 10, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. from St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Harrison with Rev. Peter Nwokoye officiating. Visitation for Kay will be held Thursday, February 9, 2017, from 3:00 -8:00 p.m. at Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison. Burial will be in St. Athanasius Catholic Cemetery, Harrison.
