Jackie Clark, Sr.
Jackie Carl Clark, age 70, passed away on January 23, 2018, in Williston, Florida, from Grayling, Michigan.
Jack was born in Petoskey, Michigan, on January 14, 1948, to Alice and William Herman Clark.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Clark, of 19 years; sisters, Carolyn (Joanne) Neilson of Clear Water, Fla.; Sharron Russell of East Jordan; Janice (Steve) Freeman of Alma, Ark.; brother-in-law, Arthur Cosier of Boyne City, Mich.; pets, Winston Michael and Mandy Mae; children, Jack (Nora) Clark, Jr. of Grayling; Jason Clark of Grayling, Jill Stanley of Grayling, Stephanie Clark of Kinsley, Mich; Mike Walsh of N.D.; Phyllis Walsh of Byron Center, Mich.; Patricia (Matt) Martini of Cincinnati, Ohio; John Walsh of Roscommon, Mich.; grandchildren, Tabbitha Pelkey, Seth Stanley, Chynna (Brandon) Young, Cassidy Clark, Megan Clark, Clara Clark, Nicole (Adam) Mills, Rachel Walsh, Trent Walsh, Shadrach Martini, Isla Mae Martini; great-grandchildren, Zoey and Zane Young, Kiera Mills; and many nieces and nephews.
Jack graduated high school in East Jordan, Michigan, and worked for Glen’s Market for 35 years and retired in 2008. Jack established Jack Clark’s Game Processing in 1969.
Jack and Elaine were married July 9, 1998, in Grayling.
Jack is preceded in death by both parents, Alice and William; sister, Karen Cosier; brothers-in-law, Donald Russell, Gary Neilson, Larry Decker; and son-in-law, Mikel Seth Stanley.
Jack loved telling jokes to everyone he came across or an odd question to give a small child of “Whose little boy or girl are you?” And always it was the opposite sex of the child he was asking.
Jack enjoyed hunting and fishing along with daily walks with his wife and his dogs, Winston Michael and Mandy Mae. Jack loved riding his tractor and working the land. Jack enjoyed camping at Indian Lake in the U.P. and staying in Florida in the winter months.
He was a pillar in the community and will be missed by many. Jack enjoyed his morning breakfast with the guys at the Grayling Restaurant. Jack was a hard-working man who outworked his heart.
A Memorial Service will take place in the spring.
Cremation performed in Gainesville, Florida.
