Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt to be held - Hear ye! Hear ye! The Crawford County Commission on Aging is calling everyone to go back in time for one evening for a Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt. The community is invited to join the hunt on Tuesday, Nov. 21, at 5:45 p.m. Will you find the wish bone, the arrow head, and more? Two teams will participate in a hunt to find various items and prizes will be given to the winning team. A Western Omelet dinner will be held beforehand at 5 p.m. The cost of dinner is $5 for those under 60 and a suggested $3 donation for those over 60. Cookie Walk to be held on Saturday - Michelson Memorial United Methodist Church will host a Cookie Walk on Saturday, Nov. 18, at 3 p.m. during the Christmas Walk.
Blood Drive to be held at Senior Center - The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program along with the Crawford County Commission on Aging and Senior Center are hosting a Michigan Blood Drive Wednesday, Nov. 22, from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Receive a free Open Acres or Spartan brand turkey at participating stores as a thanks for giving. Appointments are preferred by contact 1-866-MIBLOOD (642-5663) or miblood.org. The Senior Center is located at 308 Lawndale Street in Grayling.
Frederic to host euchre event - The Frederic Township Hall, located at 6470 Manistee, will host a euchre event on Saturday, Nov. 18, at 2 p.m. Sign up starts at 1 p.m. Entry fee is $20. No need to bring a partner. All proceeds will benefit Frederic Township parks and recreation.
Coping With Grief program offered - Munson Hospice will present “Glimmers of Hope: Coping With Grief Through The Holidays” at Munson Home Health – located at 324 Meadows Drive – at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16. The program is free and open to the public.
Church to host Annual Fall Bazaar - St. John Lutheran Church, located at 710 Spruce Street, will host its Annual Fall Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Event will include crafts, decorations, baked goods, soup, and a dessert luncheon. Proceeds will benefit local charities.
