American Legion to host Veterans Day lunch - The American Legion will host a Veterans Day luncheon on Saturday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. All veterans are welcome to attend. Lunch provided.
Senior Center to host identity fraud presentation - The Crawford County Commission on Aging and Senior Center will host a presentation with a Michigan State Police Officer, Trooper Kyle McInenry, on Tuesday, Nov. 14, at 6 p.m. to discuss identity theft and identity fraud. Trooper McInenry will talk about the differences between them, common scams and ways to spot a scam, including first hand cases in the post area as examples, and answer any questions you may have. The presentation will be held at the Senior Center, 308 Lawndale Street. For more information call (989) 348-7123. 
Church to host Holiday Bazaar - Mt. Hope Lutheran Church, located at 905 N. I-75 Business Loop, will host a Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 18, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Event will feature a complimentary continental breakfast for shoppers. The bazaar will include hand-crafted gift items, new and used Christmas decor, and baked goods. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Grayling High School Viking Pantry and “Healing Hope.”
Republicans to meet - The Crawford County Republicans will hold their last GOP 2017 meeting on Thursday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m. at the Crawford County Building (200 W. Michigan Avenue). Members and guests are welcome to attend.
Fundraiser to benefit RoboVikes - The GHS RoboVikes will conduct a bake sale and can/bottle drive fundraiser at the Grayling Family Fare on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Proceeds will go toward this year’s robotic competition season.
Festival of Trees event to start on Nov. 11 - The Grayling Promotional Association will present its annual Festival of Trees event at the Grayling Mini Mall from Nov. 11 through Nov. 25. Santa Claus will be at the event on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 1-3 p.m.
Cards for Soldiers events to be held - Cards for Soldiers will conduct make-and-sign card events at the Crawford County Library on Friday, Nov. 17, and on Fridays throughout the end of the year from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Participants in the hand-made card part of the event must sign up due to limited seating. Contact the library at (989) 348-9214. Events will include acceptance of donations (cards, candy, pens, envelopes). Holiday, get well, and thank you cards will be provided to sign and send to troops. Cards will also be available at Tip’n The Mitten for people to sign. If your school or organization would like to schedule a similar event, contact Charly Mathews at (586) 995-1963.
COA to conduct Lovells Satellite Meal - The community is invited to the Crawford County Commission on Aging’s Lovells Satellite Meal on Friday, Nov. 17, at 12 p.m. at the Lovells Township Hall. The lunch includes pepper steak, brown rice, stir fry vegetable, asparagus, and pineapple. Lunch is open to the public. The cost of the lunch is a suggested donation of $3 for those 60 and over and a $5 cost for those under 60. Munson Home Health will provide blood pressure and sugar checks and Bingo will be played following the meal. Call (989) 348-7123 for a reservation. The Lovells Township Hall is located at 8405 Twin Bridge Road. 
Sportsmans Club to host gun sighting event - The Grayling Sportsmans Club, located on Old Lake Road, will host “Sight-In-Days” on Saturday, Nov. 11, through Tuesday, Nov. 14. Cost is $5 per gun. Targets and spotting scope provided. Professional assistance will be available on site. 
Hospital to host Books Are Fun event - Munson Healthcare Grayling Hospital will host a Books Are Fun/Collective Goods event on Monday, Nov. 13, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Tuesday, Nov. 14, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Proceeds will go to help the new Patient Diagnostic Center. Event will be held at the hospital’s radiology waiting area.
Artisan Village to host free concert - The Artisan Village and Dharma Records USA will present an evening with Michelle Chenard, singer, songwriter, and musician. This free concert will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 15, from 7-9 p.m. The Artisan Village is located at 219 Michigan Avenue. For more information, contact Bea Patrick at 348-5995.
