Daire Rendon of Lake City plans to hold local office hours for Crawford County at Goodale’s Bakery, 500 Norway Street in Grayling, from 9-10 a.m. on Friday, April 21. No appointments are necessary to attend office hours. Red Tent Tea event to be held at local church - Red Tent Tea will be held on Thursday, April 20, at 1 p.m. at the Community of Christ, 1030 Glen Road in Grayling.
Lovells Satellite Meal slated for April 21 - The community is invited to the Crawford County Commission on Aging’s Lovells Satellite Meal on Friday, April 21, at noon at the Lovells Township Hall. The lunch includes roast turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, peas and pearl onions, and apricots. The cost of the lunch is a suggested donation of $3 for those 60 and over and a $5 cost for those under 60. Munson Home Health will provide blood pressure and sugar checks and bingo will be played following the meal. Call (989) 348-7123 for a reservation. COA to offer Smart911 sign up event - The Crawford County Commission on Aging is offering a time to sign up for the Smart911 Program on Wednesday, April 19, from 1-4 p.m. Smart911 is a free service available in the area to help you when you call 9-1-1. Once you’ve signed up, first responders will be aware of important information you have provided that will help them address your emergency. This information – including medical issues, current location and even pets – can help Police, Fire and EMS locate and help you. For more information call (989) 348-7123. Artisan Village to host free concert - The AuSable Artisan Village and Dharma Records will present an evening with Duffy King, best known for his potent jazz/rock and R&B/funk, on Wednesday, April 19, from 7-9 p.m. The AuSable Artisan Village is located at 219 Michigan Avenue.
