Parking to be limited at County Building during lot resurfacing project

A resurfacing project for the parking lot at the County Building is slated for early next month.
During a regular meeting of the Crawford County Board of Commissioners on Thursday, April 13, County Administrator Paul Compo said the project is scheduled to begin on May 8.
Compo said there is some concrete that needs to be removed and the existing asphalt will be grinded and used in the base for the new pavement surface. Compo said the contractor for the job (Payne and Dolan) is targeting a two-week timeframe – “weather permitting” – to complete the work.
The county is paying for the project using American Rescue Plan Act money.
Compo said the contractor will be doing the work in sections so parts of the parking lot will remain open but there will be limited parking at the County Building while the project is underway.
