A 28-year-old Grayling man was killed in a rollover accident that occurred on Saturday night.
Crawford County Sheriff Kirk A. Wakefield said that on Saturday, April 29, at approximately 8:08 p.m., Crawford County Central Dispatch received a 911 call regarding a motor vehicle accident on M-72 near Staley Lake Road in Grayling Charter Township.
Sheriff’s deputies along with the Grayling Department of Public Safety were dispatched to the scene of the single motor vehicle rollover accident.
Deputies found the 28- year-old male driver, and lone occupant of the vehicle, unresponsive. All efforts were made to resuscitate the driver by deputies at the scene, Wakefield said.
The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene, Wakefield said.
Deputies were assisted by Mobile Medical Response ambulance personnel and the Grayling Department of Public Safety.
Not wearing a seatbelt and alcohol are believed to be contributing factors in this fatal accident, Wakefield said.
The accident is still under investigation.
