The 3rd Annual Event For Crawford County Veterans (Psychic Fair, Artisans, Vendors, Food) raised thousands of dollars on Saturday, April 22, to purchase “thank you” gift certificates for local veterans, and the certificates are now available for pick-up, event organizers said.
This year’s Annual Veterans Fair raised a record $2,225, according to event organizers. Organizers recently used the money to purchase gift certificates from local businesses for Crawford County veterans as a way to show appreciation for their military service.
“They are $20 (certificates). Any Crawford County veteran can stop in at the (Veteran Service Office) with their military ID to pick one up,” said event organizer and sponsor Mary Becker. “It’s a treat and small way to say ‘thank you for your service!’”
The Veteran Service Office in Grayling is located on Norway Street.
According to event organizers, gift certificates are available from the following businesses: Spike’s, Subway, Westside Diner, Grayling Restaurant, Two River Deli, Wimpy’s, Goodale’s, AuSable Gift Shop, Grayling Greenhouse, and Ace Hardware.
The 3rd Annual Event For Crawford County Veterans – held in Grayling at American Legion Post 106 on April 22 – featured arts and crafts vendors, psychic readers, a massage station, raffles, and food.
