Cancellations, Postponements, and Changes Due To The Coronavirus
Here is a list of changes, cancellations, and postponements to area events due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. We will be updating this list regularly.

Hanson Hills Recreation Area
The Ragnar Trail Michigan has been cancelled. Ragnar Trail Michigan organizers initially postponed the 2020 event from its original date of June 27-28 to September 4-5 due to coronavirus concerns, but they have now cancelled the race. Hanson Hills officials said the event will return to Grayling next year. According to the Ragnar Trail Michigan web page, www.runragnar.com, registration is already open for the 2021 event, which is slated for June 25-26.
Crawford County Libraries
The Frederic Community Library is now open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. Only 10 people are allowed inside at one time. Patrons must wear face masks and practice social distancing. Contact the Frederic Library at (989) 348-4067. The Crawford County Devereaux Memorial Library is still closed due to construction.
Wellington Farm USA
Wellington Farm USA is now open only three days per week (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). On the other days of the week, visitors can walk through the established roads but all buildings will be closed. A Civil War Reenactment will be held on August 21-23. An Antique Car Show will be held on September 12. The Tractor Show scheduled for August 14-16 has been cancelled.
Crawford County Transportation Authority
Crawford County Transportation Authority (Dial-A-Ride) hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Dial-A-Ride is no longer doing free groceries or prescriptions. Dial-A-Ride is available to pick up and deliver Crawford County Commission on Aging & Senior Center Congregate Meals for $1 and Michelson Memorial United Methodist Church Monday Night Community Dinners for $1 (senior price).
Lovells Township Historical Society
The Lovells Township Historical Society has cancelled "Beaver, Beer, and Banjo" and closed the Lone Pine Schoolhouse and the Lovells Fly Fishing Museum for the 2020 season. The Lovells Township Historical Society has postponed the Historical Lodge Tour.
Grayling Regional Chamber of Commerce
The Grayling Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing has been rescheduled from June 5 to August 28.
AuSable Valley Animal Shelter
The Animal Shelter has rescheduled its 2020 golf outing fundraiser. The 2020 Putt’n Fore Pets Golf Outing is now slated for Saturday, August 15, at 10 a.m. at the Grayling Country Club. Kirtland Community College
Kirtland is closed to public visitors through July 31. Kirtland re-opened for in-person classes on Monday, June 8. Students have to wear face coverings. Fall semester begins on August 24.
Crawford County Commission on Aging
Activities, events, classes, and trips suspended until further notice. Congregate meals will continue to be offered Monday through Friday on a curbside take-out basis from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Lunch and dinner, as well as weekend meals, can be picked up at that time. Call the COA at (989) 348-7123 to order takeout meals. Meals on Wheels will continue to be delivered on an alternative schedule. In-home services will continue. Telephone reassurance calls will continue.
Crawford County Veteran's Service Office
The Coffee Hour slated for the second Thursday of each month is cancelled until further notice.
