Senior Center to host Newlywed Game event - Find out how well you know your partner. Join the Crawford County Commission on Aging for the Not So Newlywed Game on March 21 at 5:45 p.m. at the Senior Center. Laugh, cry, but no fighting. And if the Newlywed Game is not your style, stay and watch, then play Bingo. Prizes and dessert will be provided. Enjoy a lemon baked fish dinner before the party from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Those 60 and older eat for a suggested donation of $3.50. Those under 60 can eat for a cost of $5.50. Kirtland Garden Club to meet - Linda Stemen, Master Gardener of the Sunrise Side Master Gardener Association, will present “Vines and Vertical Gardening” to the Kirtland Garden Club – a local group – during its March meeting, which will be held at the Houghton Lake Public Library, Prudenville on March 18, at noon. Vines and climbers are the soft furnishings of the garden. They contribute a luxuriant effect, adding both height and interest. Learn also about vertical living walls. The Kirtland Garden Club meets monthly throughout the year for speaker meetings on gardening topics or travels together on planned trips.
American Legion to host St. Patrick’s dinner - The American Legion Hall – located at 106 James Street – will host a St. Patrick’s Day Dinner on Saturday, March 16, from 4-6 p.m. The event will feature traditional food.
