Photography group to meet on Feb. 13 - The Grayling Photographic Society will be hold its regular monthly meeting on Monday, Feb. 13, at 7 p.m. at the Grayling Middle School in Room 111. The meeting will include a competition for members with the subject being “Macro.” All entries will be judged in accordance with the Competition Rules and Procedures as noted on the club website The public is welcome to attend.
DAV offers rides for veterans - Veterans living in Crawford, Kalkaska, Roscommon, Otsego or Ogemaw County can arrange to be picked up for a ride to the VA hospital by a Disabled American Veterans van. Call Mike at (989) 387-0319 or the Veteran Service Office at (989) 344-3861. 
Baby to Toddler Closet to be open Feb. 16 - The Crawford County Baby to Toddler Closet will be open on Thursday, Feb. 16, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (last client at 5:30 p.m.). Also, the Baby to Toddler Closet is currently collecting receipts from Family Fare and any area Spartan store. Original receipts only. They can be dropped off at the Baby to Toddler Closet, Michelson United Methodist Church, or call Rose Mary Nelson at (985) 348-2985.
COA to conduct Satellite Meal in Lovells - The community is invited to the Crawford County Commission on Aging’s Lovells Satellite Meal on Friday, Feb. 17, at noon at the Lovells Township Hall. The lunch includes Swiss steak, mashed potatoes, sugar snap peas, and peaches. The cost of the lunch is a suggested donation of $3 for those 60 and over and a $5 cost for those under 60. Munson Home Health will provide blood pressure and sugar checks and bingo will be played following the meal. Call (989) 348-7123 for a reservation. The Lovells Township Hall is located at 8405 Twin Bridge Road.
DHHS help to be available at Senior Center - DHHS assistance appointments are available at the Crawford County Commission on Aging and Senior Center. Diane Howland, Eligibility Specialist from Crawford County Department of Health and Human Services, will be at the Senior Center on Wednesday, Feb. 15, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. to take appointments. Howland will be available to meet with individuals to explain DHHS Assistance Programs, answer any questions you may have regarding eligibility requirements, case specific questions, and also take applications for assistance. Half hour appointments are available by calling (989) 348-7123. The Senior Center is located at 308 Lawndale Street in Grayling.
